Wolf spider venom and bite
Wolf spider venom is mild and not medically significant for healthy adults. Unlike black widow venom (alpha-latrotoxin, a powerful neurotoxin) or brown recluse venom (sphingomyelinase D, a tissue-destroying cytotoxin), wolf spider venom is a generic insect-paralyzing cocktail that affects beetles and crickets much more strongly than mammals.
